DFDS, “Bir Finans 3.0” ı tanıttı

With One Finance 3.0, Karina Deacon and her CFO organisation are taking steps to complete the journey towards a Finance Organisation with more focus on finance business partnering.

Since 2012, DFDS has been working on a transformation of our Finance Organisation. With One Finance 3.0, we are now taking steps to complete the journey towards a more efficient Finance Organisation with increased focus on Finance Business Partnering.

The basis of One Finance is a service delivery model where the responsibility is split in four functional areas: Local Finance, Finance Business Partnering, Shared Service Centre and Group Finance/Centres of Excellence.

With “One Finance 3.0” we will work towards a full implementation of the model. This includes the introduction of functional reporting lines in the finance organisation and the identification of five must win battles for the next three years:

• Accelerating the efficiency of Finance
• Maturing the finance business partner agenda
• Improving transparency & insights
• Successful ERP roll-out
• Clearer focus on the talents

One Finance 3.0 will lead to a number of organisational changes in the Finance organisation effective 1 September 2020:

Local Finance
Local Finance will be a joint function servicing both Ferry and Logistics. There will be six local finance regions, all reporting to Kenneth Eintoft, VP of Group Finance.

The six regions are:

Denmark (HQ Finance), to be led by Anders Smidt-Petersen
İngiltere ve İrlanda, to be led by Andrew Meek, Dover
North Continent (the Netherlands, Germany and Czech Republic), to be led by Charlotte Schnoeckel, Vlaardingen
South Continent (Belgium, France and Spain), to be led by Annick Asselman, Ghent
Nordics & Baltics (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Russia, Latvia and Lithuania), to be led by Jeppe Vestrup Skivild, Gothenburg

The local Finance centres will work closely with DFDS Polska.
Local Finance in the Mediterranean (Turkey and Italy), will remain under the responsibility of Cenk Altun.

Finance Business Partnering
Creating a stronger finance business partnering is an important part of One Finance 3.0. This means a focus on transferring tasks to local finance and the shared service centre in Poznan.

In Finance Business Partnering the introduction of functional reporting means that the two Divisional CFOs change reporting lines to Group CFO Karina Deacon. They will continue to work closely with the EVPs of Ferry and Logistics, respectively, and be part of their management teams.

Divisional CFO for the Ferry Division is Hans Henrik Pedersen.
Divisional CFO for the Logistics Division will be Allan Toft-Bertelsen, who will join DFDS from 1 July 2020.

The change to functional reporting lines in Finance will also lead to certain changes in the finance business partnering organisations in the two divisions.

Shared Service Centre, DFDS Polska
One Finance 3.0 means that further responsibilities will be transferred to our Shared Service Centre DFDS Polska to ensure efficient and common processes and standards. This will pave the way for further standardisation and automation of processes.

Group Finance/Centres of Excellence
In the Group support functions, One Finance 3.0 means that the current Corporate Finance function will cease to exist. Mergers & Acquisitions will be part of a newly established Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department under Jesper Krüger who joins DFDS on 5 August 2020. Treasury will report directly to Group CFO Karina Deacon in the future.

Søren Brøndholt Nielsen will assume responsibility for the new Corporate Communication department and report to CEO Torben Carlsen going forward.
