“Our learning and development programmes aim to nurture our people’s need to grow and develop and support our business goals. We are pleased to be able to continue to offer them despite Covid restrictions. We have now begun the nomination process for the corporate courses in 2021. There is also a range of learning and development opportunities offered locally. We encourage you to reach out to your manager or local HR to discuss opportunities,” Head of Learning and Development at DFDS Jesper Randlev Nielsen says.
HORIZON: 12 months of intense development
“The programme targets top performers and role models – people who have the ability and willingness to develop and take on more responsibility, either at higher level or with higher complexity. HORIZON is for people with a strong drive to grow, who are ready to invest considerable time and effort. Upon completion of the programme, participants have a broader business understanding, stronger strategic competencies, have developed as people, and gained a valuable network within DFDS,” Jesper says.
ZOOM: 3-month online leadership programme for managers
ZOOM targets people with a minimum of 12 months of experience as a manager at DFDS. “This programme helps you understand your role as a leader, builds your self-awareness and equips you with tools to engage, lead and develop your direct reports towards high performance levels,” Learning and Development consultant Véronique Havrehed says.
NAVIGATE: 3-month online informal leadership programme for non-managers (online)
“NAVIGATE targets non-managers who work cross-functionally, leading projects or primarily dealing with colleagues outside their own department. Participants learn about how they impact others, how to manage stakeholders and collaborate with people and teams to deliver results” Learning and Development consultant Trine Arlyng says.
- The ZOOM and NAVIGATE courses each have 80 seats available in 2021. To be considered, you need to be nominated by your manager by early March.
- If you are interested in HORIZON, let your manager know as soon as possible. Both you and your manager must submit comprehensive applications no later than 30 June. A thorough assessment process will determine the 20 candidates to be admitted to the programme.
