Poul Woodall wins Neptune Award for promoting sustainability in shipping

The accolade of being ‘Most Devoted Sustainability Promoter of the Year’ goes to DFDS’ Poul Woodall

At the GreenTech in Shipping annual Global Forum held on February 26-27 in Hamburg, Poul Woodall, DFDS Director of Environment & Sustainability, won the Neptune Award given to ‘The most Devoted Sustainability Promoter of the year’. GreenTech in Shipping deals with current environmental issues around shipping and encourages innovators and promoters to engage, and you could say that this in line with the DFDS Purpose, “Move for all to grow”.

It should not come as a surprise to anyone who knows Poul that he receives such acclaim, as he continues to seek the best practice for DFDS in upholding our commitment to reduce emissions and minimise the impact on nature from our ferries.

“I’m thrilled that the work of promoting a responsible and sustainable way of doing maritime business is appreciated, and I’m very proud to accept this award, which I must also credit to the good reputation that DFDS holds in the maritime world,” Poul Woodall says.
