BU Automotive will become part of the Logistics Division as one of three select industries for growth, and Peter Tafazoli will take on his role as Head of BU Automotive on 1 September. This will be a part-time role initially, and then full-time from 1 October.
We are pleased to announce that the search for the Head of the new strategic business unit, BU Automotive, is over as Peter Tafazoli will join DFDS as Vice President of the new BU from 1 September.
Logistics has grown significantly over the last years with acquisitions and growth in select industries. Bolstering and growing Automotive is an integral part of pillar A in the new Win23 Strategy, which aims to create growth in the selected industries of Automotive (VP Peter Tafazoli) and Cold Chain (EVP Eddie Green), which are both part of the Logistics Division. The pillar also includes Forest & Metal and Client Engagement (Kasper Damgaard) in the Ferry Division.
Niklas Andersson, EVP and Head of Logistics, says: “Please join me in welcoming Peter to DFDS. He has a wealth of experience with Swedish industrial companies, the latest being eight years as CEO for CIDAN Machinery Group. Additionally, he has a strong and proven track record in sales, mergers and acquisitions, turnaround projects and growth. Peter will be located in Gothenburg and will join Logistics’ Management Team.”
Currently Peter works as a management consultant in a number of segments, including the automotive industry, and he has previously been Chief Project Manager at Volvo Trucks.
As a result of the establishment of this Business Unit, some new reporting lines will come into effect.
Logistics Services in Arendal and General Manager Henrik Ageflod will report to Peter Tafazoli, as will Logistics Contracts in Arendal and General Manager Martina Karlsson.
