This week saw a major changing of the guard in the Logistics Division when Niklas Andersson officially took over as new EVP, Head of the Logistics Division, and thus joined the Group’s Executive Management.
“I have been working in the logistics business for over 25 years, starting as a traffic planner with Euroute/Norfolkline, but I have never felt as proud as I do now about this new task, and I am deeply indebted to Eddie and everyone in Logistics who have paved the way for a successful logistics division. I am looking forward very much to working with everyone in Logistics, as well as in the rest of DFDS, to develop the company in line with our Win23 strategic ambitions,” says Niklas.
Niklas has moved his office to DFDS House, and later his family will also relocate from Gothenburg to Copenhagen.
However, he will not be in his new office very much in the first months, as he plans to visit logistics offices throughout the network to meet as many colleagues as possible, and to discuss the implementation of Win23, where the Logistics Division plays a major role.
Torben Carlsen says: “I welcome Niklas to our Executive Management and as the new Head of the Logistics Division. I look forward to working with him to implement our strategy and make our logistics business even bigger and more profitable, and to maintaining it as a great place to work.”
“I also want to thank Eddie for his achievements and success in growing Logistics to its current size, and turning it into a much more valuable part of the Group. I wish him the same success with his new task of growing our Cold Chain business, which is a key part of one of our four strategic pillars” adds Torben.
