On 15-17 April DFDS representatives attended TransRussia, the largest exhibition and industry platform for transport and logistics services and technologies in Russia, and a major annual event for the industry in the wider region for optimising transportation processes and finding profitable business partners and service providers.
Interesting prospects were gathered from the participation of DFDS representatives. Among them are opportunities coming from the growing Asian influence, specifically the vast Chinese rail network and hubs in Moscow and Minsk, as well as the continued interest in Russian cargo from the Baltic states, despite trade disputes and other challenges.
The exhibition is growing year on year and in 2019 was host to 398 companies from 29 countries. It was attended by 18,915 specialists from industrial and commercial enterprises, transport and logistics companies. The second day alone brought around 300 industry visitors to the DFDS stand.
DFDS is very engaged in the Baltic, and all three Baltic states were represented by road transportation companies, ports and railways. Our representatives also noted that DFDS is well known in Russia and beyond for both quality logistics and ferry services.
Aleksej Slipenciuk, Klaipėda – Kiel Route Director, says: “The exhibition was all in all a success, having attracted many leads that will bring new volumes to the whole DFDS network.”
