Present at the successful commercial sales teams’ strategy meeting in Dover were: Wayne Bullen, Stephane Boyer, Mark Hazard, Hubert Saussereau, Phil Garrett, Declan Cleary, Robert Hughes, Laszlo Tanka, Thierry Hardebolle, Mass Cappitelli, Ana Maximo, Allan Jones, Clive Allon and Pascal Grand.
The Commercial sales teams from both BU Channel and BU France & Med held a very successful full day Strategy Conference in Dover on 19 April.
Wayne Bullen, Freight Sales Director had arranged the meeting where Sales Managers and commercial staff from the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Germany & Portugal could discuss ideas and share best practices face to face.
“It was the perfect forum to communicate and discuss our performance, the continued customer focus and DFDS’ exciting digital developments, which will help to further enhance the service provided to all freight customers, “ says Wayne.
“Our 2017 results, together with our targets for 2018 and our level of progress after the first quarter were also on the agenda along with comprehensive presentations by Mark Hazard (Financial Planning & Analysis Manager) who gave a detailed overview of the 2017 performance and our performance to date on the Eastern Channel.”
Pascal Grand (Commercial Manager) and Hubert Saussereau (Business Analyst) provided an overview of the 2017 performance on the Western Channel.
All sales Managers reported on the progress of their agreed sales targets and made specific reference to each of their five “core accounts”
Wayne Bullen & Mark Hazard provided full details of all targets set for 2018, leading to some very constructive open discussions. “These extremely informative discussions have enabled us to align our freight strategy and continue our momentum. We are one team with one goal and each Sales Manager has the tools, support and information needed to meet their goals and objectives,” says Wayne.
The so-called ‘Slido’ system enabled delegates to “vote” on issues and post questions via smart phones on a screen about any topics that they wished to raise throughout the day. This was extremely well received.
“We, would not have been able to achieve the excellent results on the Channel without the full support of everyone in the commercial, operations and customer service teams and indeed the good work from the teams on the vessels,” says Wayne
“The DFDS Way has been truly embraced by the whole team, enabling everyone to push forward with new opportunities and initiatives whilst building relationships even further with our customers,” he adds.
